CARROTS - PURPLE
Purple carrots do best when direct sown in early Spring or late Fall. Carrots do not transplant well and should be direct sown. Sow the seeds about 1 inch apart in well drained loose soil. Once plants sprout and start growing thin carrots to one every 2 inches. Purple carrots are only purple on the outside and are orange on the inside. Carrots are a root crop and typically store well if stored properly.
